Hi,
I am reaching out to you because you attented the August Kitchen Table Chat, many people were interest in how to host a ballot party.
We will work together in small groups to explore the upcoming ballot measures affecting Belle Haven, Haven Avenue, and Bayfront apartments. You’ll learn simple ways to research propositions using your phone or tablet so you can share what you learn with friends and neighbors. We will research and use plain language to make local, county, and state measures easy to understand. Each table will form a small group, working together with handouts and online resources. Here is the framework we’ll use to organize our discussions:
What is the problem this measure or proposition is trying to solve?
What changes if this passes?
What stays the same if this fails?
Who supports it? Who opposes it?
Follow the Money: Who is funding each side?
Want to help facilitate? We need your help!
We need volunteers to serve as Group Leaders and Note-Takers. No prior experience is needed! We’ll host a short Zoom prep session this Wednesday at 6:30 PM to walk you through your role.
If you'd like to lead or take notes, please sign up here and I will send you the Zoom link!
Remember: Together, We understand more!
